The training participants have the opportunity to learn about the theoretical basics regarding the program functioning as well as how to use the application in practice in everyday work.
A particular attention is paid to the program capabilities, such as inserting charts, creating more complex calculations, and the feature of saving documents as .pdf or in Excel format.
During the training we discuss the issues concerning conditional formatting and its use in the work with Calc worksheets. The participants are familiarized with the methods of creating functions in Calc. Strong emphasis is placed on the use of logical functions and their nested forms. The trainees are also acquainted with “DataPilot”, which, similarly to “Excel pivot tables”, is used for large data analysis. At the time of training, we also create charts and learn about the methods of joining OpenOffice application with MS Office one.
The training is addressed to those, who would like to work with Calc spreadsheet. Especially to those, who are planning to use OpenOffice programs, but so far they have only worked with MS Excel program.
The training takes the form of computer workshops. All the training participants, at their computer stations, perform exercises with the assistance of the lecturer. The training topics are presented in the form of practical exercises. With the view to acquire knowledge more efficiently, we have implemented a system of mingling both the theoretical and practical parts.
The training participants receive training materials in the form of:
- Script specially prepared by AkKom experts,
- Practical exercises on the use of OpenOffice Calc spreadsheet sent to e-mail.
At the end of the course, the trainees are given certificates confirming the participation and acquisition of knowledge on the use of OpenOffice Calc spreadsheet.
After completing the course, every participant is entitled to contact the lecturer so as to get advice on how to solve certain bothering questions. The participants of our trainings are not charged for this kind of service.
